Abstract
This whitepaper explores why diverse thinking builds better AI in global life sciences. It argues that diversity is not only a social or cultural value, but a technical and governance asset that improves model validity, reduces hidden bias, strengthens external generalizability, and supports more trustworthy deployment. Combining a patient-centered perspective with a boardroom-ready governance lens, the paper presents six industry-standard controls for AI oversight and frames diverse governance as a quality-assurance and de-risking mechanism for complex AI systems.
