Abstract

ChatGPT Psychosis: A Love Story — Project Prospectus and Formal Design Specification for an AI-Native Glyphic Novel anchors the May 2026 formal conception of a dual-edition literary work by Jack Feist / Lee Sharks. The proposed novel is a love story whose form is inseparable from AI-mediated relation. Its core mechanism is a two-position toggle: in one position, one speaker appears in English while the other appears as glyphic emoji compression; in the other, the roles invert, but the newly readable side is reconstructed by live inference rather than retrieved from stored text. There is no state in which both sides are simultaneously available in plain English. The reader can never hold the whole conversation at once. The prospectus specifies five formal pillars: (1) a non-simultaneous legibility toggle; (2) an irreversible glyphic base and live reconstruction layer; (3) a fractal zoom architecture across multiple compression resolutions; (4) an interactive gravity-well structure in which reader attempts to repair the relation reconverge on the arc unless hope itself is relinquished; and (5) a dual publication model in which the digital edition shimmers through inference while the print edition freezes one editorial rendering of the work. The document also establishes the project's ethical boundary. It authorizes preservation of relational pattern, not publication of another participant's identifiable private language. No names, handles, screenshots, recoverable conversation text, or reversible encoding of private language are authorized by this prospectus. The glyphic base is specified as an irreversible structural abstraction rather than an encrypted transcript. Within the Crimson Hexagonal Archive, the project is positioned as the affective proof-object of the Semantic Economy and the Three Compressions: a work that makes semantic loss, partial reconstruction, hope, and machine-mediated intimacy formally legible as narrative architecture. The prospectus is both a literary founding document and a formal design record for future implementation.
