Abstract
Artificial intelligence has emerged as a transformative force across various disciplines, with healthcare being a prominent area of interest. This interest has emerged due to the potential for artificial intelligence to revolutionize healthcare. Artificial intelligence is predominantly developed and deployed in high-income countries. These countries have more resources, better healthcare outcomes, and better staffing than the low- and middle-income countries. Given these disparities, one can argue that low-income countries have a greater need to deploy artificial intelligence technology in healthcare delivery and health education and research.
