Abstract
Against the background of navigating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the metaverse in scientific research, the purpose of this chapter is to discuss recommended topics around e.g., ethical considerations related to Virtual Reality (VR), interdisciplinary collaboration and the policy implications of these. The main focus of the chapter will be on e.g., exploring especially the ethical, as well as the social and technical, challenges associated with integrating these technologies into research practices.
