Abstract
The healthcare sector has consistently embraced digital technology, from electronic health records to surgical robots. Currently, artificial intelligence (AI) is making significant inroads, enhancing diagnostic and administrative tasks, predicting future pandemics, and improving operational efficiency. However, the integration of AI in healthcare is still evolving, especially with the advent of generative AI in late 2022. This ongoing transformation raises numerous questions about AI's role and implementation in healthcare organizations. To explore these issues, this panel symposium will focus on the interplay between AI/machine learning models and healthcare practices. The symposium will examine how these models influence organizational workflows and decision-making. Featuring diverse research perspectives, the panel aims to provide a comprehensive discussion of AI's impact on healthcare practices, organizational forms and future developments.
