Abstract

In medicine, artificial intelligence (AI) has presented a technological opportunity because it's involved in using machine learning models for the management, delivery, and diagnostic evaluation of diseases, which in turn helps improve health outcomes. Therefore, AI, with its algorithms and applications, is helpful for medical professionals and scientific research. The article "ChatGPT: opportunities and risks in the fields of medical care, teaching, and research" 1 points out that this AI system has the potential to increase the accuracy of medical diagnoses and treatments, and to reduce costs. We believe this research is of utmost importance and its explanation is accurate.Nevertheless, an ethical aspect that must be considered when using this tool is a factor that should be taken into consideration.Currently, AI provides rapid support in medicine regarding clinical decision-making, treatments, mental health drugs, and medical imaging, such as CT scans and MRIs, among others. It's worth mentioning that the benefits of AI through a machine learning algorithm can reduce research time with the goal of providing better search results for patient treatments.Given the growing importance of AI in modern medicine, it's fundamental for future professionals in the field to understand how it works and to use these tools effectively. 2n the other hand, ChatGPT is an AI tool that uses a language model, implemented by OpenAI, which offers a variety of alternatives, such as virtual assistance, analysis and summaries for information retrieval, literature review according to the chosen topic, and case reports, among others. 3inally, although the use of this type of AI technology has been a great contribution to medicine, it must be used responsibly and ethically so that when these tools are incorporated into daily life, it's done efficiently and safely.Of note, it's not a complete replacement for human medical care.
